Delaware County Youth Leadership Council (DC-YCL)

DC-YLC is looking for curious, creative, and responsible students who are interested in building connections with like-minded peers while making meaningful change in their community! Applicants must be grades 9 through 12 in Delaware County. There is no experience necessary.

Any student interested in making a positive impact in their community is encouraged to apply. Members may be curious, creative, responsible, and respectful, but every student is unique and we encourage you to bring your own skills and style to the council.

Interested students should complete a DC-YLC application for the upcoming school year. Applications for DC-YLC 2024-25 will open in September 2024 and close at the beginning of October 2024. Students will be notified shortly after with council decisions.

To learn more about the application process, join us at our ice cream social event on Sunday, September 15, 2024, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The location will be provided upon registration.

Can’t make it? No problem! Complete the event registration form and we will send you additional information via email. 

DC-YLC will meet once a month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Meeting dates will be determined based on applicants' availability. Our locations will change each month but will be announced at the meeting before. Locations may include places like local libraries, parks, COHatch or HelpLine.

Nope! There is no fee or cost to join the DC-YLC.
