HelpLine Announces 7th Annual Guardians for Good Celebration: “Building Momentum: (re)Shaping Men’s Mental Health”

Delaware, OH – HelpLine will host its 7th Annual Guardians for Good (GFG) Celebration on Tues., December 2, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. at Ohio Wesleyan University’s Hamilton Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Avenue, Delaware, OH. Tickets are $40, which includes lunch, and are available now at GFG2025.givesmart.com through November 21.

This year’s theme, “Building Momentum: (re)Shaping Men’s Mental Health,” highlights the growing movement to break stigma, elevate solutions, and build a culture of support around men’s mental health.

“Men’s mental health is not just a men’s issue — it’s a family, workplace, and community issue,” said Dr. Tonia Pace, Executive Director of HelpLine. “This year, we’re uniting voices to reshape how we understand and support men’s emotional well-being. When men thrive, families and communities thrive.”

Each year, HelpLine GFG honors community champions who advance the HelpLine mission through service, sponsorship, and social advocacy. Since 2018, HelpLine has recognized more than 30 Guardians who have leveraged their compassion, commitment, and the currency of kindness to create lasting change.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Reaching young boys through mentoring and improving mental health access
  • Advocating for men who have experienced sexual assault
  • Fueling more than 50 nonprofits in achieving their missions

GFG will feature an engaging panel of thought leaders advancing men’s mental health locally and statewide:

  • Greg Alfred, Psychologist
  • Jason Hughes, Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation
  • Dino Tripodis, org

WBNS 10TV co-anchor Stacia Naquin will serve as emcee.

In addition, a special surprise guest — a former Buckeye athlete and current head coach at Bowling Green State University — may join the celebration, pending confirmation.

For the past six years, GFG has been a free community celebration. As HelpLine continues to grow and respond to rising needs across its eight-county service area, the event is evolving into a signature annual fundraiser that sustains and expands our no-cost services.

“We’re growing from a celebration for the community into a celebration powered by the community,” said Pace. “Every ticket purchased is an investment in sustaining 24/7 crisis support, violence and suicide prevention education, and volunteer connections that HelpLine provides every day.”

Pace added, “Much of HelpLine’s work is funded through mental health levy dollars, which can fluctuate with each election cycle. Establishing a signature annual fundraiser ensures stable, diversified funding so that essential, no-cost services remain available when people need them most.”
