Thank Goodness I'm Me (TGIM)

Thank Goodness I’m Me (T.G.I.M.) envisions a world where relational aggression is not accepted, ignored, or minimized by students or adults.

T.G.I.M. is a middle school prevention program designed to reduce relational aggression as participants and facilitators aim to co-create and uphold a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment by shifting and strengthening attitudes and actions around healthy peer relationships, bystander intervention, and positive self identity.

T.G.I.M.'s outcomes are designed to create a more positive school culture for all students. In a most recent evaluation, Thank Goodness I’m Me demonstrated significant outcomes in maintaining internal and external development assets (positive self-esteem, social connectedness) at an age when vulnerable students tend to lose ground in those areas. Participants report experiencing significantly less victimization by peers and having lower aggression towards peers.

The program provides a buffering effect, and it helps to protect students from some of the negatives that adolescents experience.
