PEACE Collaborative Coordinator/Prevention Educator
Seeking energetic, organized, committed individual to coordinate the PEACE (Prevention Education in All Classroom Environments) Collaborative, a coalition that brings together primary agency-based prevention providers in Delaware County with the Curriculum Directors, or designated personnel, from Delaware County’s public schools. The PEACE Collaborative is committed to promoting comprehensive prevention education and positive youth development in all Delaware County schools through community collaboration such that children achieve academic success in a supportive, healthy school environment. Duties of the position include: implementation of already developed strategic plan; coordinating and conducting meetings; keeping partners engaged; act as liaison between agencies and schools; facilitate further community collaboration around prevention.
Additionally, this person will assist with youth-led prevention efforts and assist with violence prevention programming, as part of the Violence Prevention Team at HelpLine.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s in social work, education, or a Bachelor’s degree in related field required, past experience in prevention preferred, strong community collaboration skills, demonstrated leadership ability, understanding of violence prevention, plus prevention models a plus. This is a Part time position (30 hours per week) which is benefits eligible and allows for some flexibility in schedule.
