24-hour Crisis Hotline Volunteer
Our 24-hour hotline needs dedicated, compassionate volunteers to assist in answering calls from people needing emotional support or information about community services. HelpLine has a comprehensive training program that prepares volunteers in the areas of communication, listening skills, problem solving, and resource & referral.
Stewards of Children Program Volunteer
The Stewards of Children program is a revolutionary sexual abuse prevention training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The free, 3-hour training program is designed for those who serve and engage with children and youth. The program believes and teaches that child safety is an adult’s job.
SARN (Sexual Assault Response Network) Volunteer
The SARN depends on caring volunteers to be on call and provide emotional support to victims of sexual assault at local hospitals and/or law enforcement offices. Volunteers receive extensive training in the area of sexual assault and help give victims the crucial support they need to get through the initial trauma of being a victim.
Boys and Girls Empowerment Groups
It’s a Girls World! and It’s a Guy Thing are looking for facilitators/co-faciliators for our multi-session age focused group that seeks to cultivate a healthy self-images, promote healthy lifestyle development and relationships through the use of critical thinking and creative activities for girls and boys ages 9 to 18 years of age. The program is offered either over 10-weeks through one hour sessions or in a day-long retreat format for up to 12 girls or boys per group.
