In an effort to respond to the increased hotline, prevention advocacy needs in the community, HelpLine welcomed the following new team members and staff change:
- Kristen Beal, MS, MBA recently joined the organization as a Prevention Educator. Kristen will focus on providing and growing the youth-led prevention program Thank Goodness I’m Female (TGIF) in Delaware and Morrow County schools which explores the topics of relational aggression, violence and bullying prevention.
- Penny Crosswhite was recently named Hotline Specialist with the 24/7 hotline and 2-1-1 information and referral service. Penny will respond to consumers seeking emotional support, suicide prevention and safety planning as well as information and referral to available resources.
- Allison Vance accepted the role of Regional Outreach Coordinator, which is a part of the Sexual Assault Services team. Previously the SARN Volunteer Coordinator, Allison will now coordinate the North Central Crime Victims Regional Group (NCCVRG) – which convenes victim services providers from across the north central region (Delaware, Morrow, Crawford, Wyandot, Marion, Union, Franklin counties) – including the Annual Secondary Trauma Retreat. She will also help to coordinate services for crime victims and outreach with victim services providers in this region.
“We’re excited about the addition of our new team members as they all bring years of experience and depth to their roles,” said Sue Hanson, Executive Director. “We also look forward to our continued work with NCCVRG as we increase advocacy and access for crime victims and providers.”
