April is Child Abuse Prevention & Sexual Assault Awareness Month

While we work to raise awareness about child abuse prevention and sexual assault year ’round, we dedicate ourselves to doing even more during this eventful month annually. We believe that, not only, can child abuse and sexual assault stop, each of us can do something to make that happen.

HelpLine & SARNCO Collaboration Expands Services

Widening our joint reach and offering a stronger network of support to survivors

 

HelpLine’s Sexual Assault Response Network (SARN) and OhioHealth’s Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio (SARNCO) are excited to announce a tri-county collaboration of services to sexual assault survivors. By bringing these advocacy programs together, not only do we anticipate being better able to serve sexual assault survivors in 2013, we should be able to offer more experience for our dedicated volunteers. Upcoming trainings include: Stewards of Children on April 24 to help end the epidemic of child sexual abuse and Clinical Supervision Strategies to Improve Client Outcomes on May 16 to increase service quality and combat compassion fatigue. Connections Receives a Grant from ServeOhio for Global Youth Service Day

Connections Volunteer Center, a program of HelpLine, will participate with hundreds of Ohio youth ages 5-18 on April 26-28, in service projects organized for Global Youth Service Day and supported by ServeOhio mini-grants. Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event in the world, and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth…read more
