- Believe Survivors: If you know someone you know who has been sexually assaulted believe them. Sexual assault affects everyone. We offer many free resources to survivors and their support people, learn more at helplinedelmor.org/s-a-r-n/.
- Get Informed: Visit helplinedelmor.org, www.startbybelieving.org, and www.nsvrc.org/resources. Attend community prevention programs and show your support at awareness events. Encourage an environment where information about preventing sexual assault is the norm.
- Use YOUR Voice: Speak up when you encounter victim blaming (i.e. What was she wearing? Was he drinking?) or when you see an unsafe situation. Use your voice to help others understand that rape is never the victims fault and do what you safely can do, to help someone else out.
- Take Action: Attend one of the many upcoming Sexual Assault Awareness Month events throughout April visit helplinedelmor.org/saam for the full schedule. Call 740.363.1835 for more information or email violenceprevention@helplinedelmor.org.
- GIVE: There are many ways to give back…volunteer, donate, or share information (like us on facebook.com/helplinedelmor and share often!) to help end sexual violence; supporting those who experience it and holding offenders accountable.
