Connections and Olive Garden Team Up for Fundraising Event
Save the date and stay hungry for a special Italian dinner
DELAWARE, OHIO – Connections Volunteer Center, a program of HelpLine, will host a fundraising dinner on April 12 at Andrew’s house in Delaware, sponsored by Olive Garden’s Polaris Parkway location.
The three-course Italian dinner will feature Olive Garden’s famous garden salad, garlic breadsticks, penne pasta mixed with marinara or alfredo sauce, a choice of lemonade, coffee, or iced tea, and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children under the age of 10. To purchase tickets, contact Suzanne Pingry by phone at 740.363.5000 or email spingry@helplinedelmor.org.
Dinner will be served at The Andrews House, 39 W. Winter St., Delaware, Ohio and two different time slots will be available for dining; the first from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, and another from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Guests will also enjoy entertainment provided by Walt Abood, a Central Ohio pianist who specializes in light classical and easy romantic music.
Delaware County businesses, organizations and individuals rely on Connections to match them with volunteer opportunities benefiting the community. Some of the community wide volunteer events that Connections Volunteer Center hosts include Make A Difference Day, Senior SHINE Day (Seniors Helping Impact Neighbors Everywhere), Senior Friendship Book Club where seniors are paired with 5th grade students as pen pals and the Senior Companion Program in partnership with Council for Older Adults and Catholic Social Services. Connections also provides monthly training for counselors and social workers. We invite those who are interested in becoming a volunteer to complete the simple online application form on Connections’ website at www.connectionsvolunteercenter.org.
All proceeds from the dinner will directly benefit the Connections Volunteer Center, helping them to continue providing volunteer services to Delaware county. Be sure to act fast because tickets are limited.
