HelpLine is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, articulate, and highly-organized individual to provide primary prevention education in a two-county service area. Responsible for implementing primary prevention programs and activities geared toward preventing suicide and related issues, such as depression, using established curricula, which are based on best-practices in suicide prevention. Audiences for these programs are primarily in middle and high school. Assists director with research and program development. Flexible schedule necessary as primary job duties are performed during school hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Communications, Education, or related field; Experience in giving presentations geared toward and working in area of suicide prevention preferred; Ability to give effective and engaging public presentations to a variety of target groups a must. Strong communication skills; ability to work independently; and working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Prezi a plus. Full time, 40-hour position available.
