Suicide Prevention Director
Seeking energetic, organized, committed individual to coordinate expanding
suicide prevention program in two county service area. Responsibilities include
overall program coordination including development, implementation, evaluation;
Community training presentations to adults, students, and community groups;
Excellent leadership a must; Engagement of community partners to work
collaboratively to develop strategic goals around county wide suicide prevention;
Oversee Survivors of Suicide Support Services; Recruit, train, supervise two
suicide prevention educators who will implement classroom and community
presentations; Maintaining timely documentation and reporting. Some
weekend and evening work required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in
Social Work or related field, Masters preferred; LSW or LPC minimum,
LISW/LPCC preferred; 5 years experience working in area of mental
health/suicide prevention/intervention preferred; Skills required in community
networking/engagement, public presentations/training; supervision and working
knowledge of Word, Excel, and Prezi, and familiarity with the Public Health
Model of Suicide Prevention Services. Full time with competitive salary and
