15 Training Opportunities Available in 2014 Through Connections Volunteer Center

Connections Volunteer Center, a program of HelpLine, is offering 15 community training opportunities in 2014. Visit the website, www.connectionsvoluntercenter.org, to review the new catalog and register online. All of our trainings are open to the public and provide CPEs for social workers/counselors, CEs for nurses and several trainings will offer Recognized Clock Hours (RCHs) for Chemical Dependency Counselors.

“We have put together a schedule with relevant and required information for professionals in our community, many local agencies send staff to our trainings.” Says Suzanne Pingry, Connections Program Director. “Our training is structured so it is practical to attend; they are extremely affordable and many sessions are only three hours which means you don’t miss an entire day of work.”CVC_2014_Training

    • January 30, 2014 – Surviving Workplace Violence presented by Officer Rod Glazer
  • February 2014
    • February 13, 2014 – Motivational Interviewing presented by Jennifer Haywood, LISW-S, LICDC-CS
    • February 27, 2014 – The Big Picture: Engaging Staff with Macro-Level Considerations presented by Gwen Rees, MSW,LISW-S
  • March 2014
    • March 20, 2014 – Mindfulness presented by Donna Sigl-Davies, MA, PCC-S
  • April 2014
    • April 10, 2014 – Stewards of Children presented by Shilo Gall, HelpLine
    • April 30 – May 1, 2014 – ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Morrow County presented by Julianna Nemeth, MA, & Max Lencl, PC-CR, CDCA
  • May 2014
    • May 22, 2014 – Understanding Strengths & Challenges Military Families presented by Barbara Herbst MSW, LISW
  • June 2014
